Client Query 160:- Hi, wanted to discuss that if a procurement agency enters in a contract to purchase I.T Equipment from a local supplier (which is partner of an international Company). Instead of the local supplier is it permissible for the international company (which was not directly involved in contract) to send invoices for maintenance charges of purchased equipment from local supplier? Can you please advice whether this is allowed in PPRA Rules? Thanks
Babar Ahmed, USA
Answer:- Thank you for writing to us! As per your query, there is no clarification of Public Procurement law, rules and regulations involved in the above online query. Pakistan Reinsurance Company may follow the business practices and norms in acceptance of invoices and subsequent payment of charges. As per practice, invoices are submitted and accepted from the firm with which a contract was signed. Hope this answers your query!
