NOTIFICATIONS UNDER SECTION 3 SPECIFYING OFFENCES OR CLASSES OF OFFENCES TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE PAKISTAN SPECIAL POLICE ESTABLISHMENT
No. 1/12/55-Police (II), dated the 12th September, 1955.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Pakistan Special Police Establishment Ordinance, 1948 (VIII of 1948), the Central Government in supersession of the Ministry of the Interior (Home Division) Notification No. 13/12/48-Police, dated the 25th September, 1948, as subsequently amended, read with that Division Notification No. 1/11/50-Police (II), dated the 11th July, 1950, is pleased to specify the following offences or classes of offences for the purposes of the said section, namely:-
(a) Offences punishable under sections 161 to 169, 2(186, 188, 189), 201, 217, 218, (332, 353), 379 to 382, 403 to 409, 411, 414, 417 to 420, 465 to 468, 471 and 477-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860)
(b) Offences punishable under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (XIX of 1923)
(c) Offences punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 (II of 1947).
(d) Offences punishable under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947 (VII of 1947)
(e) Offences punishable under the Hoarding and Black Market Order, 1956 (P.O. No. 14 of 1956).
(f) Offences punishable under the Passport (Offences) Act, 1952 (LVI of 1952).
(g) Attempts, abetments and conspiracies in relation to, or in connection with, offences mentioned in clauses (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), and (f) above.]
