PPRA Rules on Procurement Procedures

Client Query 126:-  Hi, hope you doing? Wanted to ask that in normal procurement practices the public entities follow the PPRA Rules 2004 for purchasing goods, works and services? In addition, to aforesaid rules can public entities procure services such as Security services/courier, services/appointment of Auditors etc., using the “PP Regulations For Procurement of Consultancy Services Regulations 2010” only instead of PP rules 2004? Will appreciate your early response! Thanks!

Answer:- Thank you for writing to us! As per your query, Procurement of Consultancy Services Regulations, 2010 are applicable for procuring consulting services of professionals. However, for procuring non-consulting services, Public Procurement Rules, 2004 and other regulations shall be followed.
