Notifications under section 6(6)
Notification by the Federal and Provincial Governments under section 6 (6) authorizing persons to conduct Prosecution before a Special Judge
(1) By the Federal Government
(1) No. 6/14/58-Police, II, dated the 3rd December, 1957.-In pursuance of subsection (6) of section 6 of the Pakistan Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1958 (XL of 1958), the Federal Government is pleased to appoint the following persons to conduct prosecution in cases sent up by the Pakistan Special Police Establishment for trial before the Special Judge, within the territorial limits of whose jurisdiction such persons exercise their function namely:
1. Public Prosecutor, Special Police Establishment, Karachi.
2. Public Prosecutor, Special Police Establishment, Lahore.
3. Public Prosecutor, Special Police Establishment, Dacca.
4. Prosecuting Deputy Superintendent of Police, S.P.E., Karachi.
5. Prosecuting Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Karachi.
6. Prosecuting Inspector, S.P.E., (State Bank Branch) Karachi.
7. Prosecuting Sub-Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Karachi.
8. Prosecuting Sub-Inspector, S.P.E. (State Bank Branch), Karachi.
9. Prosecuting Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Lahore.
10. Prosecuting Inspector, Special Police Establishment, (State Bank Branch), Lahore.
11. Prosecuting Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Rawalpindi.
12. Prosecuting Sub-Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Peshawar.
13. Prosecuting Sub-Inspector Special Police Establishment, Bahawalpur.
14. Prosecuting Inspector Special Police Establishment, Ouetta.
15. Prosecuting Inspector, Special Police Establishment, Dacca.

(2) No. S.R.O. 1020 (K) dated the 30th July, 1960.-In exercise of the powers conferred under subsection (6) of section 6 of the Pakistan Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1958 (XL of 1958), the Federal Government is pleased to appoint the Public Prosecutor, Special Police Establishment, Lahore to conduct prosecutions also in cases sent up by the Pakistan Special Police Establishment, for trial before the Special Judge at Bahawalpur.
No. Gen. 2/1/60, dated the 19th May, 1960.–In exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (6) of section 6 of the Pakistan Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1958 and in supersession of the Government of West Pakistan, Home Department Notification No. Judl. 1-3(2)/59-II, date the 2nd October, 1959, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to appoint all Prosecuting Deputy Superintendents of Police and Prosecuting Inspectors of Police in the Province of West Pakistan including those who are attached to Anti-Corruption Department, West Pakistan, to conduct prosecution before any Special Judge, within their respective jurisdiction provided that the Director, Anti-Corruption, West Pakistan, may direct any Prosecuting Deputy Superintendent of Police, or Prosecuting Inspector of Police attached to the Anti-Corruption Department to conduct prosecution before any Special Judge in any case investigated by the Anti-Corruption Department.
Authorizing the Director, Anti-Corruption, West Pakistan, to appoint one or more persons amongst the Officers of the Police and Anti-Corruption Departments to conduct prosecution
(2) No. Judl. 1-3 (8) 61, dated the 2nd October, 1961.-In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (6) of section 6 of the Pakistan Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1958, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to appoint one or more persons from amongst the officers of the Police and Anti-Corruption Departments to conduct prosecution before any Special Judge appointed under the said Act.
