Client Query 074:- Hello, wanted to ask that if any government department invites tender for any equipment then can the bidder offer more than one equipment. For example if one equipment is from China, one is from Europe and one is from USA. Now if China is accepted then the bidder will be in benefit due to low prices of Chinese machines. Now if the buyer will be interested in quality machine again then that bidder will be in benefit as he had submitted multiple offer against one bid and one earnest money. So my question is this that is it allowed as per PPRA procedures? Please if you could give any references if any.
Sarah Ahmed, US
Answer:- Thank you for writing to us! As per your query, the bid is required to be offered in accordance with the bidding documents, if alternative bids are acceptable in the bidding documents, the bidder can bid for the same. Hope this answers your query!
