THE STANDING POWER RATES (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1978

An Ordinance to amend the Standing Power Rates Advisory Board Order, 1972.

 

            1.         Short title, extent and commencement. —  (1) This Ordinance may be called the Standing Power Rates Advisory Board (Amendment) Ordinance, 1978.

            (2)        It extends to the whole of Pakistan.

            2.         Amendment of Article 2, P.O. No. 18 of 1972. —  In the Standing Power Rates Advisory Board Order, 1972 (P.O. No. 18 of 1972), in Article 2, in clause (1), for paragraph (b) the following shall be substituted, namely:–

(b)        one representative each to be nominated by the Government of Balochistan, North-West Frontier Province, the Punjab and Sindh to represent the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Province;

(bb)       two representatives nominated by the Government of the Punjab, of whom one shall be nominated to represent agriculturists and the other to represent domestic consumers;

(bbb)     One representative nominated by the Government of Sindh to represent domestic consumers;
